Reunion 2010, the MITSOM Alumni Meet was successfully held on Saturday, the 23rd January, 2010 at Le Meridien, Pune. It received an overwhelming response from the Alumni of MIT School of Management as over 190 alumni were present for the Reunion. Executive Director Hon. Prof. Rahul V. Karad, Director (Brig) Dr. R.K. Bhatia, Former Director Mr. Kulkarni, Associate Director (Col) Dr. Sneh Sharma and other dignitaries were present to grace the occasion.

The alumni, who now are seated in senior management positions or are successful entrepreneurs; enjoyed themselves with light music, dance. They re-lived their college days revisiting all the naughtiness with their friends and faculty.

Director (Brig) Dr. R.K. Bhatia in his address to alumni conveyed through his speech that the Alumni are the pride of the institute and a role model to the existing students of MITSOM. He appealed to the alumni to address the students of MITSOM and to interact with the institute through the Alumni bulletin. The Director also updated them about the various developments at MIT, for instance the introduction of various sessions in its programme like Current Issues, Value added programs and various Forums.

The students of MITSOM took the alumni back in time with a collage of old photographs which were displayed in the hall. An interesting slideshow presentation which included some mesmerizing quotes and various old photographs of the alumni made most of them very nostalgic. It was an emotional experience for all the alumni as well as the faculty. 

There was also an informal interactive session with the Alumni in which they shared their college memories and corporate experiences. They emphasized on the importance of the post-graduate programs as they help in developing knowledge and personality. This in turn helps in facing the challenges of the corporate environment. A few of the Alumni imparted some valuable advice to the existing students of MITSOM to make the most of their college years.

Former Director of MITSOM Dr. Kulkarni also addressed the Alumni. He too went down the memory lane and expressed his happiness at meeting some of his old wards.

The function was followed by a grand dinner. The Alumni were presented with a memento as a souvenir of MIT School of Management.

Everybody parted with a promise to meet again in 2011 and meanwhile remain in touch with the Institute through various activities.
